Textile-testing Profiency Testing Scheme

TEPS (TExtile-testing Proficiency-testing Scheme) is a comprehensive textile-testing proficiency testing scheme, open to all laboratories worldwide.

Each year a series of inter-laboratory trials (sometimes called correlation exercises) are organised. A selection of test materials are distributed every 3 months to participants, who are required to return the results (and samples if requested) within a specified deadline. The samples and/or results are then subject to evaluation and statistical analysis and participants are notified of their performance.

Proficiency testing is a valuable tool for all laboratories. By focusing on a laboratory?s results, proficiency testing schemes provide a snapshot of a laboratory?s measurements and quality system at one point of time. Regular participation builds up a picture which can help laboratories, as well as customers and approval bodies to get a picture of a laboratory?s analytical quality.
